SoulShots

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-03-04

SoulShots (“the app”) is an Overwolf overlay that provides real-time item recommendations for Deadlock. This policy describes what data the app uses and how it is handled.

Data we use

Game state (via Overwolf GEP)

When you run Deadlock, the app receives in-game data provided by Overwolf’s Game Events Provider (GEP), such as: souls (net worth), purchased items, hero, game time, and match roster (allies and enemies). This data is used only to compute item recommendations and counter-build suggestions and is not sent to our own servers.

Public game and item data

The app fetches hero stats, item win rates, and build data from public APIs (e.g. deadlock-api.com) to power recommendations. These requests do not include your identity.

Local storage

The app may store preferences locally (e.g. “Don’t show again” for the first-time welcome screen). This stays on your device.

Data we do not collect

We do not run our own analytics or tracking. We do not collect your name, email, or other personal data except as described above.

Overwolf and third parties

Overwolf

Overwolf provides the platform (overlay, hotkeys, GEP). Overwolf’s own privacy policy and consent (CMP) apply to data Overwolf collects (e.g. account, usage). You can manage privacy and ad preferences in Overwolf settings (overwolf://settings).

Advertisements

When ads are enabled, they are served by Overwolf’s ad partner. Ad interactions are subject to Overwolf’s and the ad partner’s policies.

Your choices

  • Use Overwolf settings to manage privacy and ad consent.
  • Do not install or run the app if you do not accept use of in-game data as described above.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Contact

For questions about this policy or the app, use the Overwolf app support or the repository linked in the app description.
